It's been three years today since I had my cancer surgery and lost my right testicle.
After having to get regular checks every three months it's now only every 6 months.
I'll have to do that another three years before it's reduced again to annual checks.
Even though I'm used to the ultrasounds, the blood test and mrt scans by now I still get nervous the night before the checks. But that's normal i guess.
Living with one ball has by now just become normal and i don't care. (Never cared much in the first place.)
What kind of bothers me is that the jokes I used to be able to make about it now become more creepy since there are a few people I only met after the whole cancer thing that don't get the jokes or feel like it isn't a subject to joke about...
Anyway. Glad to be cancer free and looking forward to the next few years.
And guys, keep checking you balls!
