Church members in Fort Valley got together to celebrate two big birthdays Sunday.

Sunday morning, people came to Friendship Baptist Church to celebrate the church's 126th year. But one of the church members also reached a milestone on Sunday. Eliza Felton turned 102 years old.

She says one of the secrets to her long life is living with a good attitude.

"It can be beautiful, if you have the desire for it to be that way," she said. "I believe you always have a mind of your own, and you can just, you can make life what you want."

Mrs. Felton's friends and family planned to have a birthday party in her honor Sunday afternoon.

As I look back on my nana Kat's life, she lived to a very great age and I think it was due to the same reason Mrs. Felton has.

Where did we lose that grace and respect for others on our path?

I have no idea! I showed my mom (who looks phenomenal for 77) her picture and she was blown away. That lady could pass for 70 in a heart beat. Amazing!

I shouldn't be so self critical; but I swear I feel my age more lately.
What's great and quite encouraging is that 3 times in the last few months I have had people guess my age to be early 20's!

Why did you ramp your age up to 50 CigarBabe? It's clear by your picture you aren't a day over 32!:wink: Mr. Ed has really robbed the cradle this time hasn't he.
