Where I've been and where am I going

Had a widely traveled year. I went all around the midwest. Surprisingly few will come here.

Phoenix - wow it's hot
Seattle - nice weather, between the clouds
Kentucky - all over, saw the muddy river
New Jersey - much maligned, go visit
Los Angeles - soooo much plastic
Ensenada - Hola amigos!
Dublin - Dia Duit!
Avalon - great ferry ride
Kona - nice coffee on the beach
Sydney - If it didn't make me dizzy to be upside down I'd move here. Ridgey Didgey pies!
Chicago - actually had to stay at hotels while one of my places is nearby

Where next?

I've enjoyed Nevada, Ohio, Michigan, Utah, Georgia, Iowa, Indiana, and Alabama on my road trip travels. As each state has its unique differences that you can only get on a good road trip. Small towns, food, people, and scenery. To me you can't see the real beauty without getting your feet wet.

What got me interested in traveling was an ol acquaintance she was from West Virgina, and looked very much like a young Karen Allen with big eyes. She was married but her southern charm delighted me. So I had to take a good peek and found Georgia to be my first ever step out in the wonderful US.

I did not enjoy Nebraska, as it reminded me of California (Sacramento to Fresno) without any freakin' anything in between. I would not recommend such a trip in California as well.

@Fancy: Wow! hands are trembling as I type this reply. Wish you were nearer a hub. It'd be easier.

@Wirmboi: those locations are interesting in that you really get to know the locals and local flavors. Learn things like about Cincinatti style chili, Michigan is cold - but Mackinac Island is really cool, Utah has the most beautiful scenery in the country, I used to get dizzy driving through the cornfields in Iowa, I love local cuisines and eating like the locals - chains are absolute last resort.
