I couldn't help but wonder... at 33, am I already over the hill? I mean, Jesus himself and so many celebrities left this world at this age, and here I am, a big ol' bear who's been neglecting his health for far too long. But all that's about to change, because my best friend (who's a damn good physiotherapist, mind you) showed me the way.
We were at a cool tennis club in Majadahonda, Madrid, Spain, where his gorgeous new clinic is located. And as he guided me through his state-of-the-art facility, one of his machines dropped a truth bomb on me: my metabolic age is 48. Forty-freakin'-eight, people. And that's when I knew something had to give.
Now, I haven't been this heavy (97kg, to be exact) since I came out of the closet at age 20. But back then, I dropped 22kg in less than two months, and I'm ready to do it again. This time, though, I'm determined to keep it off. See, I trained with a personal trainer a few years ago and got in the best shape of my life. But I've always been a bit chubby, and I never liked exercise or sports.
After a surgery, I stopped training altogether and never went back. But now I'm determined to make a change. I've signed up for a gym in a prime location by the lake, where all the rich trophy wives go. And as my friend Niko (who's Swiss, honey, and knows a thing or two about luxury) told me, "Bitch, you're gay and rich, you should look 20."
So, I'm making it my mission to transform from bear to otter. And I'm taking you along for the ride, honey. I'll be sharing pictures, stories, routines, recipes, and all the tea about my journey. And let me tell you, it's gonna be one hell of a ride.
But it's not just about me, honey. I'm starting a movement here. #Bear2Otter is more than just a catchy hashtag; it's a way of life. It's about empowering all my fellow bears (and anyone else who wants to join the party) to take charge of their health and their bodies. We can be big and beautiful, but we can also be fit and fabulous.
So, let's do this, honey. Let's transform together, from bear to otter, and let's show the world what we're made of.
