Megs, life is a rollercoaster ride and regardless of the high points or low points, they all serve as an invitation to become. We are able to reflect and respond to such invitations in ways that lead us to who we are and to transcend the reality of where we are right now.
Life is life and it keeps going regardless of whether we are up for keeping up or not. All that you can do is remember that you are the best you that you are able to be right now...and that you are a better you than yesterday because of the lessons that you have experienced yesterday.
Yeah... there's no such thing as a "normal" life. I could say that I am in a low point now (at least financially, since the other aspects are not at a low), but I say it's a "transition phase" (at least to cheer myself up!)
My mental/emotional low was all through school.
My physical low was 4 years ago when I almost died.
Right now I am better mentally/emotionally (believe it or not! I have phases of low self-esteem but I'm working on it) than I was in school, and definitely better physically than I was 4 years ago.
We all get sick and tired some times. Is normal a simple and happy life?
The bigger question is, would you put yourself through the pain if it wasn't worth it? Those little moments where you see amazing things, the value we see in others, the value they see in you. They're hugely valuable things.
I don't expect life to be all peaches and cream all the time... but it seems like lately, nothing is going right for me, and I'm kinda tired of fighting against the grain, ya know? Blah.
We all have times like that Meg, where we feel that nothing more bad could possibly happen then it does, when we're going through one of those times little things assume tragic proportions and it seems like life is always going to stink, then things start going better for a while, but down the road there's always going to be another bad time coming and while we're having the bad times it seems like those are all there ever are.
Sick and tired of being sick and tired is a reference to Bill W. So i will say take it one day at a time. The Serenity prayer. Learn it and live it. We only have today thats all.
