2. Don't get too excited. I don't cheer and say whoop whoop hurray until I see some of his promises in action.

Presidents have to earn my respect and attention.

too early to say hes a good president. he may be a GREAT president, he may be an average one, maybe a good one, maybe a bad one, too early to tell, he hasn't even been in office yet! lol

i think it's definitely a sign that change has come for the good of all americans. i know, it's cliche by now, but it's true. if another republican had been voted in to office i would've packed my bags and moved out of the country by now. aside from that... on a funnier note, i've been getting text message forwards that say: "this is a reminder to shave your coochie cause january 20th is the last day for bush!" :biggrin: LOL... oh, how i have looked forward to january 20th for eight long years :smile:

Well...I think Obama will be excellent. However, I don't envy the situation he's forced into....with the economy and Russian aggression....still I trust him a lot more than I would Bush or McCain.

MLK Jr's bday is actually 15 January.

POTUS' term begins 20 January.

A lot of holidays in the US are now pushed off to weekend days.

the way he has carried himself through the campaign and in the transition period shows he clearly has the ability to become an outstanding president.
