It's not even the winter yet (late Fall) and still I hate it. I don't want to go outside to run errands or do anything. Next year I hope to move to Florida and will only have to deal with the cold when I come up here to visit for the Holidays.
Aawww I love winter... wrapping up warm to go outside then coming back to a cosy warm house and getting cwtched up on the sofa with a coffee or hot chocolate....
OK... so that's a rather 'romantic' outlook on winter (though I do do that...) but look at it this way... without winter, you wouldn't appreciate summer so much )

Absolutely nothing good about it. Cold and dark. Summer is bright and warm.
Here's a little poem I wrote after college circa 1996 lived in Buffalo at the time.
"When I woke up it was Winter"
It was Saturday night Long after the Tyson-Holyfield fight
when I stumbled on in for the rest.
While I was out I noticed no snow and with the warmth of last week I
thought we were blessed.
When I awoke. I was greeted by the precious quiet and calm of the season's first blanket of powder. But it wasn't that long for the flurries soft song to darken, chill and grow louder.
Now cold had set in along with the sun swallowing skies of the season. It made made my hopes freeze and shatter for no reason.
I had live a dream of friends and fun life had just begun and they said t would be so sweet.
With a masters degree I'd have so many options to choose from and opportunity would lay at my feet.
But as I've grown older I've grown wiser and have picked up a scent of the street.
It's a whiff of reality, the stench of society that lingers along with deceit.
Surely you've seen the clues. Haven't you read the paper or watched the news?
The truth aches my sole as the cold and the snow makes the skin on my hands start to splinter.
Man how I wish that I was still sleepng - Beacuase when I woke up t was winter.
Yeah Hotmilf it is the cold that gets to me and having to bundle up just to take the garbage out. Last night I got caught in a Nor'easter (winter storm) and saw many spin-out on the Turnpike. I hope that by next year I can move to South Florida, and will only have to deal with this mess when I travel back up here for Christmas.
