Fingers crossed.

I invited the girl I like from work to my birthday party. I get along great with her and I'm so nervous to have her there but it's the only way that I can see for her to witness me as I am outside of work. I could ask her out directly but I enjoy our shifts together, rare they may be, and I really don't want a bad date or a denial to ruin that.

I've never been great at asking girls out. I'm pretty confident on a date and for those things that come afterwards ;) but it's the opening stuff that I suck at. I like to just hang out as friends in a social situation and see if there's anything there.

I plan on truly being myself around her on that night and I hope she sees potential in me as something more than a friend. Fingers are crossed but if nothing comes out of it at least I'll still have a friend.

How many times do I have to tell you, that you are a great guy!

Though I am incredibly jealous that she is the object of your affection, I wish you luck. One more thing, being yourself is always the best way to go; but please don't do that silly thing where you use two straws as walrus tusks.:biggrin1::smile:

I think that it is cool that you will get to have someone you like from work at your birthday party. It is hard meeting people and trying to get a love.

I hope that you have a swell Birthday and have fun.
