So there are a few problems (which you apparently are encountering).
First is reality. 7" is long. Porn star long. Yes, there are longer; but they become superstars/legends. For girth, once you get above 5" every 1/4" is significant. Roughly 1/2 an inch is the standard deviation (from 4.5).
You can look at people's pictures (and shortly there will be the folks happy to attach their pics directly in the thread - but for those folks, please don't. That's why people can click on the links to your albums). Pictures are subject to distortion of perspective, even when not intentional. I'm bang-on 7x5. Do I look the same in every picture? or longer/shorter, thicker/thinner, depending on the picture?
Physical objects don't lie. There are plenty of items around your house to measure. Get a ruler and a tailor tape. Find out the circumference of something that matches your tactile memory of how thick he was, and measure it. Measure your hands across the knuckles. If you grasp him with both hands, is there anything protruding? If your hands measure 3" across, you know there's roughly 6 inches of pecker in your hands, plus whatever is protruding. Grab a ruler and estimate. Cut a cardboard tube (e.g.: paper towel roll) to a fair estimate and measure it.
Vixen Creations "Bandit" dildo is roughly 7.5x5.3" (insertable length). Their "Outlaw" is 8.5x6.3". That's an inch larger in each dimension - and in the Mandingo/Dredd/etc... range.
