Got inspired by a hot pilot on my Delta flight today. I really wanted to know what underwear he wore.

Interesting, I was watching a pilot on a flight earlier this week and wondering what he had covering his fit butt under his trousers. I was in 1C so the view of him was good as he was in the galley. At one point he bent over to pick something off the deck and I concluded he was commando as there wasn't a VPL of any description to be seen.

I'm not a pilot, but I used to work at a hotel restaurant and ran room services. I took dinner up to a pilot once, and his suitcase was open on his bed. He had briefs in there; at least one white pair but also some colors and patterned ones.

I`m a retired pilot and I can assure you we all wear different types just as in any walk of life.
I always found these polyamide/elastane boxer briefs kept you snug but allowed plenty of room for adjustment after sliding in and out of the seat and long periods sat on your ass.
These were my favourite type.
