I had a collection in VHS days of videos in the series The Few, the Naked and The Proud - these were of genuine USMC personnel (I believe it became a minor scandal in military circles). I think there were at least a dozen videos published, each containing three or four men. I had about six of these tapes and virtually every one of the guys was circumcised. That is a big turn on for me, as I am British, and not very many British men are cut. I just find foreskin unsexy.Over here service personnel are uncut in the main, like almost everyone else. I have also seen American army guys in porn and again they are all circumcised.
I have read in the past that the American military authorities require candidates to be circumcised and I wonder if that is/was true.
This applied even in wartime - in a book entitled A Stone For My Pillow, one guy who attempted to join USMC just after Pearl Harbour had his application refused until he got himself circumcised, which he did and he reapplied the following month, when he was accepted. The book by the way was an autobiography, not fiction. Can any former USM or West Point candidate confirm if this wasm the case?
