L'Ange du Mal, Joseph Geefs, 1842. Intended to be placed in St. Paul's Cathedral, Liège, Belgium as a representation of the fallen angel Lucifer, the statue was removed due to church officials declaring the likeness to having an unnatural beauty. Ironically, Joseph Geefs' statue was replaced by one done by his brother Guillaume which had similar features.
