Arthur Lynch reached a plea deal Friday in a Hamilton (Tenn.) County Criminal Court from an incident in April 2021 in Chattanooga.
Lynch entered a guilty plea for a charge of misdemeanor simple assault after police alleged last year that he engaged in sexual contact without the consent of the victim. Lynch was initially charged last March with two counts of felony sexual battery, but one of those charges was dismissed and he reached a plea deal on the lesser charge of assault.
Lynch, 32, was placed on judicial diversion for two years, according to the Hamilton County Criminal Court clerk’s office.
He will be on two years probation, undergo evaluation and be asked to comply with recommended treatment and have two years of alcohol monitoring with an ankle bracelet.
The entry of the judgement is withheld during his probation and If he completes his obligations, the record can be expunged off his record, according to the court.
