Well, my initial post about pressing some sort of legal charges was actually serious.
If I post an ad where I sell my PS5 and someone pays me money for it, but i just send a box with a brick in it, the person receiving it would rightfully be pissed and feel deceived. Don't think they would think 'oh well poor me, next time more luck', but they would come for my ass to get their money back at least and make sure I don't do something like that again.
Why do we just accept it with OF creators and their emmpty promises and downright lies?
Just because it's about less money than my example of a PS5, it's still someone's hard-earned money. Having an OF is a responsibility to deliver what you promise. There is a little bit of grey area that's open for some interpretation to play around the truth but so many creators cross the line by a whole ass mile.
And since they never feel consequences they happily continue with their scams and feel validated in their way of business. It's fucking toxic and wrong. And 'we' all keep it alive by not taking a stand to them.
This is a false equivalency & would not hold up in court.
Posting an ad where you distinctly & clearly promise a PS5 is not the same thing as advertising a mystery product with suggestive language. The former is a clear promise for a specific item. The latter is suggestive language for an unknown mystery product, with no clear promise or specificity. There’s centuries of precedent that advertising language isn’t literal.
Also, considering that there is public record on TMZ of Austin saying he’ll
NEVER do full nudity, a competent lawyer could easily mount a defense using that: it should be a given that he’ll never post nudity, his captions never directly promise nudity, & a buyer should do their due diligence.
Here’s the thing:
I certainly agree that the page has become an obvious & aggressive cash-grab & that everyone should stay clear of it. That said, he said he won’t ever be nude, the people running the page are so aggressive that they’d charge you to scroll down if they could, & there’s a large amount of information on social media & porn forums confirming this. At what point do you have to take personal accountability for throwing away your money on a fantasy that you’re projecting?
Also, I don’t think anyone here accepts this crap. Most of us have long since moved on & don’t waste our money on his page. I personally only follow THREE people on Onlyfans, and they DELIVER the content! And I really only follow them because I think they deserve to be compensated for the hard work they put into making great content.
I will not be someone’s ATM, though. And maybe the people tossing money at Austin’s page should learn that.
