The term “beefcake” had a period of great popularity, especially in the 1950s and 1970s, when fitness and bodybuilding magazines were at their peak. However, its meaning in the cultural sphere is quite different and refers to:
1) Muscular and attractive man: In a general sense, “beefcake” denotes a man with a very muscular and well-defined physique, often depicted in suggestive poses or in situations that highlight his physicality.
2) Images and representations: The term is also used to refer to photographs, paintings, or other forms of visual representations that feature men with beefcake bodies as their subject.
3) Media genre: “Beefcake” can also refer to a media genre that focuses on these depictions of muscular men, often found in magazines, movies, or shows.

Some famous names associated with the term “beefcake” are:

- Steve Reeves: 1950s actor and bodybuilder known for his roles in peplum films, such as Hercules. His sculptural physicality made him an icon of the genre.

That's hot. I differ from some people's definitions of beefcake here (from my perspective, many guys posted in the thread are either too lean or not muscular enough to be a beefcake). For me, a beefcake goes for a very muscular guy, with a LOT of meat on pecs, back, arms, and legs, and even though he is toned, it lends more to the bulky side. It's my foremost favorite type of bottom. Some pics of what I would classify as a beefcake:
