yep. i initially thought he was straight and that italian girl was his girlfriend, but it quickly became clear that they're just besties. I think he doesn't come out to protect his image of "perfect boyfriend and hunk" to his mostly female fanbase, and that's his prerogative. I do think that he's been dating this american, i could swear i've seen more photos of them together (on their ig stories, maybe?), but these were the ones i found.
