Hello everyone,

I wanted to get your opinion on a problem that I have always encountered, and that I therefore thought was normal.

When I ejaculate, if I have the misfortune to urinate right after, I know that I am going to have a bad time. In fact, in this case I feel a burning sensation in the urethra, more or less intense, which can last half an hour to an hour. It is obviously painful. It is sometimes also accompanied, during this period, by a constant urge to urinate, as if I had not emptied my entire bladder. And when I go, I only urinate a few drops.

Since I've always known about this, I was curious to ask another guy if he knew about it too. The fact that he answered negatively made me wonder.

Medical analyzes ruled out any urinary infection and a priori, there is nothing on the prostate side either. My general practitioner redirected me to a urologist... but my appointment is in six months (and even then, subject to change). My case is not considered urgent. It is not, in my opinion. Anyway, I've always lived with that.

Perhaps it is a more mechanical problem with the urinary tract? Or a problem with the acidity of the urine or sperm?

Has anyone encountered the same problem?

I had this problem as a very young masturbator. When I started masturbating 69 years ago, my urethra had to get used to the strain of masturbation. It happened that after masturbation I felt a burning sensation when urinating. This burning sensation never came back, even though I always masturbated regularly.:)

I'm not sure if it's the same case. It's only after ejaculation that I feel this pain. It's even more painful after edging.

So, with a little discipline, I hold myself from peeing for half an hour after ejaculation. Or I pee before my masturbation session. When I do it this way (pee then ejaculate), I don't feel anything.

Perhaps your urethra is just very sensitive? Do you ejaculate large amounts? I've had this when peeing after sounding (using a steel rod into my penis for stimulation). It's also very common after having a catheter removed. But given you've been tested for STD's and the like... Not sure. I will say I've had this when I've not ejaculated for a long period of time.

Edit: Just did a Google search for "burning urination after ejaculation". Looks to be very common for some.

The pain is in any case very local, on the side of the urethra. I don't ejaculate large amounts, but the pain is amplified if I have not ejaculated for several days.

Can't say I've ever experienced this . you might have a bladder infection. A friend once had a burning sensation,it turned out to be a urinary infection
I'd definitely get it checked out by your GP

I have the same issue. I spoke to a doctor about it and he said it’s nothing to worry about, and basically said it happens when cum gets in your urethra or pee in your cum hole. One of the two, I forget. Pretty sure it’s cum in your urethra.

Anyway, I found that really milking all the cum out of my dick before I pee helps. Like really grabbing the base and pushing out as much as possible.

I also do whatever I can to pee before I cum. Doesn’t always work out that way, but I do my best.

My cum hole?

My cum hole?
I explained that poorly. Where you semen comes from before it enters the urethra, the seminal tube I think it’s called.

I was able to double check the notes from that appointment and I was paraphrasing oddly.

When semen and pee mix in the urethra, in some people it can cause some pain and feels like a very mild UTI that usually goes away quickly.

I think @thickcockjames is right. I came to the same conclusion. Edging and masturbating for long periods, also seems to increase the likelihood of it happening. I've had this happen to me for decades. Sometimes, if I'm bored, I could be watching/viewing porn for an hour or more, sometimes even breaking for a pee in the midd of a session.

After finally cumming I feel the need to pee and there's pain inside the shaft that's inside the body, and my bladder. Sometimes the pain's bad enough that the only thing that seems to help, is sitting on the toilet seat and squeezing out drips of pee, for about 30 minutes until the pain subsides. It's not even that I have a full bladder or anything, but the pain feels like "I need to pee", even when I don't.

Can it possibly also be after too rough masturbation, having damaged the urethra in the shaft somewhat ..?

Exactly what I was talking about, yeah. It sucks. Usually last like an hour or so and generally goes away. I’ve had luck drinking a bunch of water to try and pee again and that usually helps too.

I used to get this frequently. I started to make sure I got all the cum out, sometimes it comes out several minutes later, it just leaks out, like it should've all came out during orgasm but maybe my system kept making it and it didn't pump out, no idea. I'd pee and then I felt more a burning in my penis but I finally realized it was centered and radiated out of my prostate. I got into prostate massage and stimulation 20 years ago, several years after feeling this burning pain after cumming and then peeing. It always felt like I had to pee more, but peeing is what made it happen and made it worse. I couldn't go to sleep sometimes for hours!

But after I started stimulating and milking my prostate, all this problem went away. I honestly have only had it a handful of times in the last 20 years, whereas I had it maybe every 3rd time I'd have sex with my wife. When I jerked off before I met her it would happen once a week maybe twice. But after prostate play started being a thing, I'd literally go a few years before a random burning attack would creep up on me.

Not saying OP needs to do prostate stimulation, but it might be the remedy. In the last 10 or so years when I get this burning thing, I lube up and reach in and massage my prostate for a few minutes, and the pain literally goes away as soon as I do that.

I have had similar in the past. After i masturbated about 10 mins later i would get a deep burning in the bladder area that was uncomfortable, Sometimes it would happen sometimes it wouldn't. I found out that drinking a big glass of water would stop it and the burning would go away. But it was very annoying.
Good test: If your urine is frequently more yellow than clear, you generally need more water.

Water is one of the most important health needs of the body. The standard health recommendation is between 1.8 liters of over the course of a day or, I think, at least 8 cups (standard US) per day, and you may need more depending on how active you are.

The more active you are, the more water is being used to power your body and is depleted by sweat, so you may need to compensate if you train (e.g., and if you do now you surely already know this the harder you the more water you lose). Water is my go to drink in training, sometimes with electrolites added depending on how much salt, etc., I can tell I am losing (sweat does not lie).

If you are a soda or coffee drinker – or more problematically both – you are putting acid in your body, and both of those drinks can also have diuretic qualities. Alcohol does nothing for you in hydration and can dehydrate you if you drink too much, triggering diuresis and damaging your cells (that need water). It's also why drinking water with alcohol can spare us the headaches and hangovers.

Fresh juice and fruit are also key, but can be too acidic for some people. Lowfat milk is an alternative for nutritional drinks, but water is still essential.

Hope that helps.

Ever been to a Urologist or had a prostate check? Had a PSA check done in bloodwork? Painful urination can also be from the prostate which the Urethra passes through.
