Can't get hard with condom

Hey every one. I don't know if I'm posting in the good section but I figure LPSG is probably the only place where guys could relate. To make it short I can't get hard with a condom.

Yesterday was the BF birthday so I took him to a restaurant, got him a present and well... Gave him the beastdong lol but as we were about to have sex. I put the condom on and I lost my erection in 5 second. I felt really tight in the condom and it hurt a bit. I just could not get it up. As we were about to give up I removed the condom and I immediately got raging hard. I just don't feel anything when I have a condom, my dick goes completely numb

Do you guys have the same problem? This has been happening to me a lot recently and I don't know why. I even took some bigger condoms but the same thing keep happening

I don't lose my erection, but during intercourse I cannot feel a thing because the condoms are so tight and therefore I cannot come. My solution has been not to wear them, and in my younger days (the seventies and early eighties) that was normal anyway (and I never caught a thing). Today with one-offs I judge the risk with the partner, such as a married woman having a first-time threesome with me, and I agree before we meet that this will be natural (no condoms). A long-term faithful woman is very low risk.

Maybe for hung men in monogamous relationships, an STI test followed by natural sex is an option.

I also don't use condoms for similar reasons, my erection is not always that permanent to risk losing it during great sex. I read about Magnum condoms here, maybe they would do better ?

I don't know why it happens, but the process of putting on a condom often makes my erection disappear...has since 1982. I sometimes wonder whether it is the condom or repressed fear of the consequences of male anal sex? Sure I can do it without a condom, but I won't! Is too complex for me to comprehend.

This may be a mental type of hang up that you are unaware of. Try with your partner of putting on a very large condom with plenty of lube and having your partner masturbate you. Your may not get an erection the first time, but just keep trying this. I think that with time you will be able to put on a condom and keep your erection. Try it as you have nothing to lose here. Had the same problem recently. A condom that fits better worked with me... (My.Size, a german product that comes in various grith sizes). As a youngster normal sized rubbers were OK too. Dunno why that changed... Any ideas?

It's kinda true also since Magnum XL went from 2.7" to 2.5"
-7.4% reduction in size


ONLY thing that got bigger was the packaging (wrapper)
2"7/8 x 2"3/4
from the original size of
2 3/8 X 2"1/4

Interesting point. For me there are psychological reasons. Failed once, twice and it's in my head. Maybe my erections are a bit less strong now. We all walk with a hard on all the time at the age of 17... But: new condom - new luck !

Thanks for all the feedback. we ended up having sex without condoms as we both get tested regularly and never play unsafe. I actually found it a millions time better than with a condom. I also found that for once the bf was able to take me in full with no pain.

I need to find good condoms though because I never do bb so If I can't find any... Good by sex life

Good for you--at least for now. I'm old enough to remember life before XL condoms. Of course you could stretch them on, but damn if you could feel much with them on--that is until they broke, which happened about every third or fourth time with me. In those days, I'd usually keep my erection, but it'd often take me well over an hour to cum. Depending on my partner, that'd be either a big plus or a big minus with them. When they started making XL sized condoms things got a lot better: they still reduced sensation, but not to the near total loss of feeling that happened with those "one size fits all" ones. I hate to say it, but if I'm going to be totally honest here, not having to wear a condom, even the not ridiculously tight ones, has played a part in my staying in some monogamous relationships longer than I might have otherwise.

I've never thought to try that.

I have similar problems at times. I found the best solution is if when I'm applying or soon after, I engage in more foreplay and jack off to make myself erect again. I don't have to worry about it as much though as my bf and I get tested and don't wear any when we're messing around together.

MySize are great, a lot of different sizes including really wide ones, and not too expensive
