same!! I feel like the porn industry is very weird, when it comes to it being an actual job and the lines where it crosses over to being super personal/private (is it considered sex work? I am not sure), because some of the porn stars are baiting in order to maintain their fanbase. like if I watch a movie, and the story is about a gay guy and the actor playing him I don't ask myself wether he is gay or not (due to identity politics now we talk about how the actual identity of someone can play into acting, so you wouldn't need to do method acting to know how it is to be the character because you already are ... but I ask myself what acting then is).
same goes in a way for pornstars, where it shouldn't matter if they are gay or hetero, they sell a fantasy within 15-30 mins and its supposed to get me going, if that's enough they did their job. but there is no school for pornactors or how to act in porn. the porn industry is very dilettante in that way and relies heavy on the actors experience and confidence with being sexual infant of a camera (a lot of the pornstar interviews really do highlight that at some point very early on this is a job and things come into play you wouldn't think of as an outsider to the industry).
and with these straight men, who then because of management or to maintain some sort of fantasy, they start lying to themselves and you can see that on camera, which is very weird. sometimes people are open already and develop new sexual relations with themselves like christian wilde who said he started out as being straight and now he wouldn't say he is straight anymore, but has developed an open relation to sexual attraction and that anyone actually is attractive to him. with Cody its just odd with him outing himself as bi, but then very soon after he did that he quit, he never kissed, he never did anything that would make him look comfortable in his sexuality. idk long story girls omg sry

Its not considered sex work, its acting as long there is a camera recording.
