I have a stict criteria when it comes to the guys i want messaging me on sites. there are lots of things on a mans profile that will immediately turn me off if i see them. For those of you who use these sites, what things on a womans profile will make you say no way?

When I used to use such a site, I had a few criteria-
1. Age. Anything under 25 was a no for me.
2. Grammar. If there are ridiculous amounts of misspellings(especially those that are clearly intentional), no thanks.
3. Photos in the profile. Does she carry herself with respect? If not, move on!
4. Location. Obviously if they're not close then what's the point?

I'd say those were the main criteria before initial contact. After that it was all about commonalities and whether a decent conversation could be held. Chemistry, as always, is key in these particular pursuits!

Lmao! Yeah all of the above would piss me off too. I check the guys verifications. If they have 150 different verifies from women, i pass them up. Any guy that feels he has to prove he's fucked a lot of girls is out the window for me. I also then look at the women who've verified him. If they have massive lists of guys they've fucked, i'm out.

2. Wrong answers to sex questions. OKCupid lets you see the answers, and I check after the "attractiveness" requirements are fulfilled.

4. Every picture has a drink in their hand
5. Gummy smiles (where the upper lip is stuck way at the top of the mouth)
6. Man-hating profiles, where most of the profile is complaining about how much men suck, or talking about what they don't want, or using a phrase like "I want a MAN, not a boy"

I have to say my profile is what i DON'T want. And that's really because most men don't read it anyway but for those who do it's easier to say what you don't want than try and pin down what you DO want. For example, i DON'T want overweight guys, porno typed messages, married guys, text speak or pictures of cocks.

Actually I can kind of see the merit in both arguments here.

You should put down the dislikes to weed people out and cut down on wasted time or effort, while Seattle has a point as well when the list of "don't wants" equates to a "fuck it" for the average person looking at the profile.

No one is perfect and I actually had a pretty good time one time with someone that was 100% no match for all the generated bullshit. Sometimes it's easier to read a person than a profile. Some people just suck at writing and are seriously challenged articulating their thoughts into words.

No, my problem with the lists of "I don't want these type of jerks" profiles is it conveys bitterness, a lack of understanding where they are (as in the internet, on a dating site, full of stupid puppies with peters), and a sense of "OMG, I'm so figuratively hot and literally bothered by all this male attention!"

It also is kind of that thing, people do, to assure others they are attractive and desired, because they have all these losers pestering them, or just keep going out with crazy girls kind of thing.

Just been going to these rodeos for a long time.

Here is my list:

1. Poor grammar, spelling, punctuation
2. Pictures-really, a blurred photo shot of u with your own camera phone? Reflection of flash in a mirror. Repeated shots of neck up only. Multiple pics of you doing silly poses with GF's-one is enough
3. Asking for "Prince Charming" in so many words. Get real, have a realistic expectation about a man as a man should have of you.
4. Boring, long, drawn out written profile description. You know the kind that your eyes roll back in your head as you read. Keep it to a couple of short paragraphs. Not a manifesto.
5. Pics with people blacked out or cropped and altered.

Those are the ones that come to mind for me.
