I found this article on the net. I am trying this Probiotic by BioGaia to see if it really works. It will take at least a year. Anyone ever had any good results from taking L. reuteri ATCC PTA 6475 to increase Testicle size? I know there have been lots of studies done on mice but will it work for people?

You’ve heard of probiotics by now, probably in the context of fixing your “gut flora.”

That’s the bacteria culture living in your stomach that helps you break down and process food.

Yogurts like Activia advertise their value for digestive health.

But some probiotics can also help with the size of your testicles.

Studies suggest the right kind of bacteria in your system can stimulate your body to improve your testicular function, testicular size, and sexual health.

This research is newer and ongoing (though some of it we’ve known from folk medicine for a very long time), so let’s take a look at what we know as of today.

Probiotics and Testicle Health

The bacteria living in your gut have a population of about 100 trillion, which amounts to 10 times as many bacterial cells in your body as you have human cells.

Though research and understanding of this gut flora climate is new, with numbers like that it should be no surprise that what comprises them will impact your health.

In the past ten years, we’ve discovered how important that gut flora colony is:

  • The bacteria produces chemicals to help us gain energy from our food
  • They regulate immune cell production to improve our resistance to disease
  • Some can help you resist food poisoning or getting ill from contaminated water
  • Some research even suggests they have altered our DNA to aid evolution
  • A right or wrong balance of gut flora can significantly impact your digestive health
But “that’s not all!” More recent research has pointed to several ways your personal bacterial colony impacts your sexual health, including how probiotics can increase testicle size, health and even testosterone production.

Probiotics and Sexual Health

We’ve known for a while that probiotics can help prevent or ease yeast infections and urinary tract infections, which is why women are encouraged to eat yogurt after taking a course of antibiotics.

More recently, specific research into the probiotic lactobacillus reuteri has found benefits for men.

Lactobacillus reuteri is a lactose-producing bacteria sometimes found naturally in humans, but more often growing in the digestive tracts of other mammals, and in birds.

Medical science originally used it for its anti-inflammatory properties, which helped ease symptoms of severe gastrointestinal ailments.

From that beginning, a team of researchers led by Theofilos Poutahidis of Aristotle University in Greece and MIT’s Alex Springer, looked at how lactobacillus reuteri might impact sexual health. They had observed how other anti-inflammatories sometimes had positive impact, and investigated that mechanic with mice (source).

The study took two groups of mice, giving one regular water daily and the other water laced with lactobacillus reuteri. They then looked at markers for sexual health in both groups of mice, including testicular mass, Leydig cell numbers, and sperm count.

Result: the mice given l. reuteri showed increases in all measured markers. They found probiotics increase testicle size, boost sperm production, and raise the number of Leydig cells in a subject.

This led Springer and Poutahidis to conclude that “dietary L. reuteri or other probiotic supplementation may provide a viable natural approach to prevention of male hypogonadism.”

L. reuteri my also reverse the testicular atrophy brought on by excessive alcohol consumption.

Probiotics and Testicle Size – How it Works

In scientific research, that a thing is true usually gets discovered before they figure out why and how that thing happens. That’s the case with how probiotics increase testicle size, but here’s the best theory science has come up with so far.

It starts with cortisol.

Cortisol is one of your stress hormones, released as part of your body’s fight-or-flight response. Like adrenaline, it supercharges your body for immediate action by making you stronger and more resistant to damage.

Also like adrenaline, the same processes are hard on a body that doesn’t immediately get a lot of physical activity.

Specific to this situation, cortisol is known to absolutely shred your body’s testosterone reserves if it remains chronically elevated.

This can be partially explained because cortisol increases your levels of abdominal fat. Abdominal fat produces an enzyme that converts testosterone into estradiol, a form of estrogen.

Bottom line: more cortisol = less testosterone. And as you know, lower testosterone can lead to hypogonadism: the shrinking of your testes.

Dr. John Cryan of University College in Cork tested groups of mice by exposing them to stress (source).

As with the MIT/Aristotle study, one group had been given L. reuteri and one had not. He observed fewer symptoms of stress among the mice which had been given the probiotic, then he tested cortisol levels in both groups.

Turns out the mice with L. reuteri in their systems had cortisol levels 100 times lower than those without the probiotic.

That’s a pretty clear result: L. reuteri has a direct impact on cortisol levels.

This finding is consistent with the original medical uses of L. reuteri. The anti-inflammatory impact of this probiotic can be attributed to reducing cortisol levels (since cortisol is a key part of how your body swells in response to injury or irritation).

Do Probiotics Increase Testicle Size – Conclusion:

Do probiotics increase testicle size? Although medical research isn’t 100% certain on all of the mechanics that go into it, the conclusion is very clear.

Probiotics like L. reuteri reduce cortisol levels when you’re under stress. Lower cortisol means more serum testosterone.

More available testosterone means larger testicles for men suffering from hypogonadism, unless you’re dealing with a varicocele or other medical condition

Better still, this natural method increases testosterone count steadily over time. Testosterone therapy typically floods the body with testosterone periodically, which can actually reduce your body’s natural testosterone production.

Although you got some L. reuteri from breast milk as a child, most adults have either none of that particular probiotic in their gut flora or very small amounts. To get its benefits, you’ll need to supplement your L. reuteri colony.

My advice: work probiotics, especially L. reuteri, into your daily regimen. Some brands of yogurt contain the bacteria. Just be sure to eat the low sugar versions, since sugar is another testosterone killer.

If you have trouble with dairy for whatever reason, you can also get L. reuteri and other probiotics in pill form. You’ll find them at most natural markets, or you can order them online.

Thoughts on activia? Activia regular has lactic acid in it which seem to be beneficial but activia also have sugar free with ace k and sucralose instead but no lactic acid which I think should be in there

I think it’s take time to see any results from something like this. And most probiotics are cheap quality. So hard to say

The probiotic from BioGaia / Gastrus is not one of them. Look them up. This is one of the studies they did on this probiotic but it was done on mice. There still doing studies to see if it works on humans. I been now taking this for 5 months and I did see a little increase in size and it seems it made my testicles hang more for some reason. Here is the Link for the study

L. Reuteri is the probiotic strain that is supposed to have this effect. I've tried it and seen some mild improvement. In my opinion you'll get a bigger bang for your buck with Tongkat Ali.
Thanks

For over 6 months I have had about 16 Oz of homemade raw milk kefir each day. It should contain L, Reuteri. I have no noticeable change in ball size. Perhaps it only helps if they were suppressed by some other food or environmental exposure.

I tried tongkat ali, it just made me irritable and angry. I also tried Fadogia Agrestis, it gave me erectile dysfunction.

Did you try the strain L. Reuteri ATCC 6475 this is the strain that was tested on mice and worked here is the link Probiotic Microbes Sustain Youthful Serum Testosterone Levels and Testicular Size in Aging Mice
I have tried it using the brand BioGaia. I have been taking it now for 5 months along with Vitamin D3 and Zinc I am starting to see some results but it takes a long time over a year so check on the link I know it works for mice we just do not know if it works in humans.

One can't say for sure unless I tested my kefir. That said it is a traditional kefir, this research paper suggests it has around 60 times more L. Reuteri than the sampled commercial brand.

Are you buying kefir or making it? I make it with raw fresh milk and consume it within 2 days of making it. I can see it is biologically very vigorous. While this doesn't guarantee having a large quantity of L. Reuteri, I think it gives pretty good odds.

See but if it does not have this strain L. Reuteri ATCC 6475 it will not target what you are trying to achieve. This is the reason they tested that strain. It must be the 6475 strain
There are millions of L. Reuteri strains. The idea that a specific strain, sampled in one location then propagated in a lab was observed to cause a result. and therefore it is known that no other strains will cause the same result is ridiculous. It sounds like marketing propaganda.

I am not sure but it was done by many labs research groups which had nothing to do with marketing a product. I been using it for 5 months and I did get some results not a lot but a start. I have to give it at least 1 year to really test this.

i have taken the pro biotic for 6 months now. i noticed that my testicles hung a bit lower and my semen volume went up. BUT, my testicles are already on the larger size from what i have seen. These studies have increased testicle size for males with smaller testicles or those suffering from hypergonadism. So maybe thats why some dudes swear by it and others not so much?
i do think the quality of the product makes a difference along with diet and other lifestyle factors.

What is beneficial is that this is food for your nuts. You will improve sperm quality and count and in my experience increase your semen volume which for males looking to get their ladies pregnant is gold (or just feel good cumming a big amount :))
happy to share my sperm count, semen amount stats and changes if you DM me.

Fadogia is supposed to increase the testicles but it also spikes your LDL Cholesterol levels. It works. I have a buddy whos an acupuncturist and experimented with it and his balls, which were already large, got noticeably bigger. As someone who is very healthy but has some cholesteral issues (LDL is higher than it should be) i wont fuck with it.
What he also told me is there are all sorts of side effects, and your nuts go back to their base line size once you come off of it, which tells me they grow larger due to cholesteterol spikes and other not so good changes.

Any bigger and your nuts would become almost trivial targets...
