I've tried making out with someone that I really felt nothing towards, and the time I was attempting to do it, my mind was completely focusing on some guy that I found insanely attractive, and I found myself disliking the whole experience because it wasn't with the person I was visualizing at the moment.

So no, I don't need to feel attracted to someone to be able to do it. But it is an absolute necessity if I want to enjoy it.
