I know the title sounds a bit silly, but hear me out.

I'm uncut, but I've always preferred to masturbate with a bit of fluid on my cockhead. Either with pre-cum, spit, or lube. It increases sensitivity on my head, and makes masturbation just feel better overall.

But recentely I decided to try jerking off completely dry. I wipe away any pre-cum that starts coming out, and I don't use any lube.
The sensation is different, but still enjoyable, but the odd thing is, I ejaculate way less than I'm used to. The orgasm also doesn't feel as satisfying, and the cumhot is always smaller.

Is this a thing for anyone else?

I believe the key here is stimulation and extended period of pleasure, and lube helps with hose things.

I am circumcised and have masturbated both dry and with lubes. A quick rub-one-out with no lube and not trying to extend my pleasure still produces a wonderful oragasm and cum, but not as much as when I've taken my time to stay stimulated as long as I can without cumming. Using and re-applying lube to reduce friction, as well as being aware of my point of no return, stopping then restarting when it feels 'safe'. Those are the times of my most explosive solo orgasms and the largest amounts of spurts and cum.

The same principle applies to sex as well. A quickie where there's no attempt to extend the pleasure but to just go for broke until orgasm can be amazing, fulfilling, and a great sexual release, but it's not the same as a longer sex session, changing positions and/or tempo to extend the time where you are in the pleasure zone without cumming. When the inevitable happens, I know my orgasms feel stronger and longer. More cum? I don't know, as it's all deep inside her.

Just as @lapdog2001 says, more stimulation for longer usually leads to bigger loads. Lube, imo, tends to make the dick more sensitive and generally feels better. And ofc, a wet hole is more stimulating than a dry one.

But how long I jerk off hasn't changed, it's just the lack of lube that's different. That's why I find it weird that it seems to have such an impact on load size.

Your body is built to want to ejaculate into a pussy, which is wet. It's also possible its because you typically jerk off with lube, changing up the routine like that might take some getting used to

Enjoyable, sure. As good as how you usually jerk? Doesn't seem like it, cause you'd probably had mentioned it. As a result, while it still feels good and enjoyable, it isn't your preffered way. If it wasn't more excitable or interesting or pleasurable than your standard way, then it makes sense the orgasm wont be as strong and so the cumshot smaller and less impressive.

If your time hasnt changed, maybe how long you peak in pleasure while playing is less. Maybe you stay at a 5 out 10 zone, with 10 being orgasm, instead of cruising near 7 or 8, when jerking traditionally
