Hey guys, I'm in my mid 30's , decent shape, and uncut. Workout ( cardio ) about 4 days a week ( 45 min -1 hr). My diet is mostly healthy.. not 100%. But I am on a few medications for a disorder since age of 12, and they have been changed up quiet a few times.

My concern is that I'm unable to ejaculate or get an erection. I do feel horny and do feel the urge to want to have sex. But nothing is working for me, I've tried masturbating techniques ( regular wrist, milking, playing with my balls & anal) - relaxation. Even when I'm with a partner ( I'm gay) I'll just let him finish and have his fun while I still try to get off with no success.
This has been ongoing for about 1 year. I've had not ejaculated or had an erection for about 1 year. I'm starting to feel like I'm not a man anymore. I'm nervous to bring it up to anyone because I don't know if it's just me or if anyone else has experienced something similar. It's a very embarrassing situation. Any thoughts guys. I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks

oh man, don't be embarrassed..... you're just starting to get older more than likely... come of us are like bunnies when we are younger and then it drops off when we hit our 40s.... if you weren't a bunny after puberty then maybe you've already started losing testosterone.... you can go to the doc and get viagra or cialis if it's important for you to cum though, so theres always options.

Have you been to see a doctor about it? You could have a side effect from your medications, or maybe your testosterone is declining more rapidly than normal. Both of these can be addressed by a doctor.

You might also try ED medication, as long as its safe to use with your other medication, not as a solution but just to rule out certain problems. If you take ED medication and get an erection and are able to ejaculate, then you've probably ruled out most physical problems that could occur. That might mean its a mental block, and if that's the case then proving to yourself that you don't have a physical problem might break the mental block.

Aren't I a bit young to be on ED meds?

Well ya, I would like to cum - I have the horny feeling... I would like to cum with a partner.. or when I jerk off. What guy wouldn't.

Man, you need to find a sympathetic doctor you can honestly and openly discuss your concerns with. Any physician worth his or her pay should listen and communicate a solution. I agree with the others that an ED med might work to get you where you want to be.

It's painful being horny, wanting to play like you want to, and not being able to get to that point.

I learned a long time ago... my life is an open book. I am not embarrassed or ashamed by the condition and facts of my life. It works in nearly every situation I encounter. But honesty with your doctor is most important.

Maybe, you wouldn't be the first guy in his 30s to take it. I knew guys in college who took it, but that was more recreational.

The point of my suggestion is not to use it long term. Instead, use it as a tool to rebuild your confidence. Using it once or twice will confirm that there's nothing physically wrong. Plus, I bet it will flip a switch in your brain that reminds who truly good it is to have an erection and an orgasm.

You are probably experiencing a mental block, not something physical. The best way to get over that is to prove to yourself that the mental issue getting in your way is based in paranoia or hypochondria and not your reality. Try use viagra or cialis a couple of time, maybe smaller doses, and then don't use it anymore. I think you'll probably see that you don't need it and can get an erection.

I would suggest that you use smaller doses and don't use it longer term, or it could have the opposite effect and you might trick yourself into thinking that you need it, which you most likely don't.

I strongly encourage you speak with a medical condition professional. There maybe something going on with your medications (eg. side effects causing the ED any other issues), or maybe there’s been a change in the disorder you referenced, or maybe there’s something else going on. But whatever is going on, you really would be wise to speak with someone.

It’s not easy speaking with someone about certain medical situations. And even the more challenging when it’s about our “man” parts. But from personal experience, the longer you wait, the more damage you may do.

I have a friend who just turned 32. He has ridiculously high blood pressure that scares me but not him. When I suggested he might want to see a doctor about BP meds, he said, "I'm too young for meds. I'll wait till I'm 60 or 65." I don't know if he'll make it to his 60s.

You are never too young when there are solutions to your problems

I've dealt with my own medical/psychiatric issues for over 25 years and some of those medications can do a number on your libido or sexual function. I've been lucky for the most part but I know several people who need to take something in order to have sex. It's NOT just a problem for "old people" especially when it might be a side-effect. But only a doctor, possibly a urologist, would know for sure. Never any shame in asking for help!

Hit a urologist instead of a GP doctor (even if you have to ask for a referral).

The question the urologist will ask is do you wake up with morning wood? If yes, then things physically are working. If no, he'll start looking for medicine side effects and blood work for reasons. You can expect a testicle check and a finger-up-the-butt in the visit. And to help in the mean time, he'll probably try you on cialis. If you don't bone up with cialis, he'll start checking deeper.

So everything was fine, then a year ago it all stopped working? Is the doctor who manages your lifelong condition also managing your general health, or just a specialist?

As others have written, many meds can have sexual side effects. But so can the conditions they're prescribed to treat. Other conditions can also affect erections. High blood pressure, diabetes, and nerve damage are just a few. ED can be the canary in the coal mine.

Bottom line, your dick should work, and it doesn't. Tell your doctors, and don't settle for just another prescription for ED meds until other stuff is ruled out. Please let us know what you find out.

At your age, this is the first place I would look. Especially take note of any medication changes or things you began taking in the last year, or shortly before this began. 100% bring this up with your doctor, or even better, a urologist that is likely to be well acquainted with the sexual side effects of medications. You may need to be moved to a med that doesn't have the side effect.

Hey... Guy can have Erectile Dysfunction issues at any age once they hit puberty. It's not an old man issue at all. Erections have nothing to do with your ability to ejaculate. When my ED began, my erections were slowly getting softer, but I was able to ejaculate with no problems. I reached the point to where I could barley achieve an erection. I could still masturbate and ejaculate. It just took a little longer. My story goes further, you may PM me for more.. With that said, you stated that you are on medications, have you discussed this with your doctor? If not, and if you able you need to see a Urologist that specializes in Erectile Dysfunction. They can help you the most. You will have to be honest with your answers to the questions ask ed. Getting medical help is a two way street. Yes, it is embarrassing. but men need to learn it's OK to talk about their sexual problems. Especially with Doctors.

Never be embarrassed to talk to your doctor about anything. Age is definitely not a factor...anyone can have ED. The fact that you have ED and also have anorgasmia, and are on (unspecified) medications leads me to think either the medication or the condition you're treating with those mess may be a factor here.

Be seen by a doctor. Don't give up until you get a firm diagnosis. This is real and deserves attention and treatment.

You should see a doctor asap. There could be a perfectly good reason for your problem thats easily solved. Don't be bashful, this is a quality of life issue. I cannot ejaculate anymore and it drives me crazy. Turns out it's the meds I'm taking so I have no choice. Believe me I don't want anything to come between me and an active sex life so talk to a doctor, thats what they are trained to do. Good Luck !
