Which types of massage have you tried? Which were your favorites and why?
Sometimes there are a lot of options to choose from and they might be similar in price. The descriptions of techniques I have found range from making sensational claims about heath benefits that can't be true to being so vague that it isn't actually saying anything distinctive. I mean, I can Google this as well as the next guy, but I'd be interested to hear experiences from real people.
Swedish seems to be the most common and I usually go with deep tissue but has anyone tried some of the others like trigger point, cupping, Shiatsu, hot stone, lymphatic drainage, or any others? Have you observed any real health benefits beyond relaxed muscles and a sense of well-being?
