Honestly, just been feeling incredible after getting back into a workout routine. I started lifting weights a year ago as new years newbie, and kept up with it for about 4 months and then got sick for about month. Routine dropped. Picked it up again a few months later for about a month, then mental health went down the drain cause of some life stuff and I dropped off yet again.
Since starting after the new year, when I was already in a great mental space, I've just been in a stupidly good mood all the time. Last year on both occasions, I was working with a trainer, but this time I'm doing it alone. And there's something about holding yourself accountable that just makes it so much more worth it. I appreciate the work my trainer did to show me the ropes and get me started on a fitness journey. But now I feel like I'm in the very early stages of what's going to be a very long process that I'm actually looking forward to tackling.
Hope anyone else who is struggling or has struggled with the gym in the past and sees this finds some solace that sometimes it can take a couple tries and it doesn't need to be perfect. Just showing up for yourself is an incredible feeling.
