Hello! I'm a cis woman and I try to learn as much as possible about trans issues, just want to be a better, more open minded human. I understand things like gender dysphoria already, and other conditions. I know trans people are valid for many reasons. Sometimes though I hear a trans person say things like "I always knew I'm a boy because I didin't like 'feminine' things and female gender roles". Now that confuses me as a feminist-you can be a girl and don't give a single fuck about stereotypes, do what you like! What do you think about it? Is it only performative so that our sexist society accept you as a woman or do some trans ppl genuinely believe (even without feeling dysphoria and other things) fitting into stereotypical, outdated, sexist female roles makes them a woman? Or is it just the worst reason for being trans ever?
