I just got done in the gym for today.

I am way past the point of chubby or pudgy.

Overweight or obese is more like it…at 5 foot 10 inches and 265 pounds.

I am in my 50’s with white/silver hair.

Not to be a Debbie Downer here, but being fat …like me…. Just seems to make yourself invisible to both men and women.

Of course for me, I have never been married and I don’t have kids, so that throws up a huge red flag to any women I might date.

Anyway, my points are:

A. Getting into shape does not get any easier as you get older

B. I hate to say it, but people are petty and they do judge “books by their covers”.

C. Consider your looks like being a fishing lure….do you want to attract a large mouth bass? Or do you want to attract carp?

D. There is a certain amount of Alpha-ness to working out and getting in shape. It subconciously tells other people you have your shit together. There is this “locus of control” thing too…as in, “I am making progress. I am trying to better myself.” Versus “Woe is me. I’m fat. Siggghhhhh….There’s nothing I can do about it. I’ll just have to live with being fat forever."



All of the above is just my opinion. I don’t mean to come across as judgemental. I am sorry if it came across that way.
