I actually am doing pretty good these days. Better than I was there for awhile.

I still have my struggles. I'm flawed as fuck. But I'm looking forward and trying to savor the good times and FUCK off the bad times.

I remember going to a German restaurant near Galveston, Texas with my family when I was a young girl. There were a bunch of cute sayings on the menu, and most of them were in German.

I think my Mum regretted teaching us German when we were younger, because one of the little notes in German read "Don't drink water. Fish fuck in it."

And this was the first time I ever saw Fick written out! I was both embarrassed and giggling nervously having read something that was not intended for my eyes!

I'm fine, plodding on as usual. Finally found a consultant willing to do something with my dodgy hip, still not a full replacement just resurfacing work but glad to have had it done.
Still painful tho, early days yet but hopefully another couple months and should be pain free.

Thank you, I'm sure it's going in the right direction, the recovery does seem to be taking longer than I'd imagined tho!
I can certainly manage certain things better than before, it's just damn painful especially after sleeping/resting which is apparently just muscle trauma healing, it was painful constantly before the operation tho, this is just a different kinda pain and hopefully just the healing process.
