How Hygienic Is Rimming?

I've often fantasised about rimming guys, and obviously it's pretty ubiquitous in porn, but I cannot possibly see how it can be safe. I'm a bit of germ freak, and even blowjobs are pushing it for me. Douching/cleaning and sterilising are two very different things, and for me eating a guy out is not worth the risk of being bedridden with some nasty bug for a week.

I can't answer for anyone else, but I'd say that it would depend on how hygienic the person is being rimmed. If they've showered recently and haven't had a BM I'd think that they should be fairly clean.

Rimming someone has never been on my list of things to do, but that's just me.

Any good sex shop sells anal douche packages. They can become pretty routine in your sex life if you're into anal action. The French know something about mouth-to-ass contact — that's why they have bidets which are specifically for cleaning the bottom. To be honest, the answer you're looking for is No. You usually douche with cold or warm water. Which can get rid of some things but not all. Also you can't really put soap up your butt because it will mess up your rectum's lining. The douching method might also determine how clean it is down there too. You could use a dental dam though. If you want to try it safely

i do rim regularly but ONLY with guys i've known a while and trust and absolutely know are clean down there - i won't do it after a long day without a shower first etc.

i've never once had a bad experience, or caught anything, or become ill from it, BUT that is because of all of the above that i mentioned. In addition i'll only do it with guys i know are tested etc

i'm also a clean/hygiene/germ freak and i completely understand why people don't like the thought of it.

I use a mouthwash after sex too when i've done that - but so long as the guy looks after himself both in terms of healthy eating, cleanliness etc then i'm happy to do this.

totally agree for anal. for rimming? not necessary. good hygiene and a nice hot soapy shower ahead of time and should be good to go! I also keep baby wipes with me! now, given the moniker tacos and beer, you might want to keep one handy!
