Hi, I'm curious to know if men experience sexual pleasure similarly or quite differently. How would you describe the pleasure that you feel on your penis when having sex or masturbating? My penis is quite numb (I think it's because of medication I'm on) so for me, stimulation of the penis is not very pleasurable (although I can get aroused and hard). It doesn't hurt, I just don't feel anything.

No, I haven't always been this way, but I've been like this for a long time now. I've spoken to my doctor about changing my meds. I hope sexual pleasurable feelings can return to my penis once I change meds
I hope so, because nobody deserves to do without that pleasure.
I actually spoke to a counsellor about this, (I'm seeing them for other reasons), it was quite embarrassing but I didn't know who else to bring this up with. He said that I might have to accept that I might not ever feel sexual pleasure on my penis again, which is disappointing. It's been so long I don't remember much about how it used to feel, all I remember is that it would feel really good and that I really enjoyed it. I think it might be the meds, I've chatted to my doctor about it
Well, I'm certainly not qualified to dispense medical advice, but I can't help but wonder: could they perhaps switch you to another medication that doesn't have that side effect?

Unless there's a physical issue like you mentioned, I think all men (and maybe both men & women) experience pleasure and orgasms in basically the same way. Of course there are certain individual differences even among the same guy depending on factors such as arousal levels, state of mind & body, as well as what exactly one is doing to create the pleasure or even who is doing it. In other words, while overall feelings are similar, levels and sensations can still vary from experience to experience.
So for me sometimes (maybe most times) my pleasure will feel like this:
