Yes, he's the president's son, so there's the risk of people trying to buy political influence. That's why neither he nor anyone in his father's administration will be told the identities of any buyers. Is it a perfect solution? Perhaps not. But unless you want to ban all family and friends of sitting presidents from earning income, you have to establish the best protections you can and live with it.
