Genuine question, why do you let politics affect (presumably) every aspect of your life? I find it weird how some people will literally write people off just because they are conservative, even if they might be the nicest person you'll ever meet. You don't know his morals or beliefs other than he follows Trump, so isn't it a bit shortsighted to stereotype someone based this one fact?
Honestly for me I would only care that he's a trump supporter if he was gay, but a cis straight white man being a trump supporter is like water being wet. Doesnt shock or surprise me.

It’s about where they sit, morally. It’s not just politics. It’s people’s lives and how we’re expected to treat others. Following someone who has denigrated almost every marginalized group, corrupted the federal government, and been found legally libel for rape-yes-is concerning because it speaks to his character. I think the hope is that someone you’ve developed an attraction to, and want to support financially in their business endeavors, holds your same moral values. Or at the very least keeps them private.
I mean the exact same thing could be said about any political figurehead, they've literally all done terrible things... so does that mean your decision to vote democrat mean you support all of their past transgressions and hold the same views? I would hope not (and no I won't name and shame as I don't want this to be a pissing contest).
Generally people who vote are single issue voters, where the most prevalent concern is their priority (where in today's economic climate, I'd say cost of living/economy is majority of people's concerns). The fact that you are applying a broad brush to someone you don't even know and just making wild assumptions on their moral values based on a following says more about you than him.
