I genuinely don’t see why going commando should be presented as a ‘last resort’. Men’s underwear is nowhere near as ‘obligatory’ as clothing manufacturers would have you believe, it’s not some magic barrier that protects other garments (and it causes microbial proliferation), your cock and balls are evolved not to need any support, and it traps unwanted heat. In short, and purely logical, there isn’t any real argument in favour.
When I just look at my own social circle, underwear is non-existent for most friends and very rarely worn for a minority. Give your genitals a week or 6 to fully resume their natural functions and you’ll find that ‘none’ is an infinitely superior choice to any alternative
