over on Reddit there is a lot of chatter than Magnum condoms aren't actually that big - is that true? In the UK we can only get them online, not in stores (as far as I know) but on Reddit they say:

Magnum length 205mm, nominal width 54mm
regular Durex length 205mm, nominal width 55mm

does anyone know if this is right? I always assumed Magnums were massive. The TheyFits I bought had nominal width of 60mm printed on the box.

I'm about 7.25" and 6" girth and I much prefer Magnums. Regular condoms are a little snug for me girth-wise. They don't seem to be THAT much bigger though as many people seem to think.

I think Magnum XL's are 30% larger than a regular Trojan condom. I can wear either Magnum or Magnum XL; both are comfortable. Regular condoms are simply too tight and sometimes a bit difficult to get on. Breakage has been an issue in the past as well.
BTW, I'm only a little above 7.25" in length but I'm 6.5" in circumference.

According to Undercovercondoms.com the Durex XXL condoms are "Longer than Trojan Magnum XL condoms (but not quite as wide)", measuring 205 mm in length and 54 mm in width, the full length of the condom. The "standard" Durex condoms are 52 mm wide.

For many years I didn't use any condoms because I was married, monogamous and my wives practiced birth control. But after my last divorce I started playing the field and condoms became a necessity. I quickly learned that the standard condoms (which worked fine for me in my youth) are now extremely difficult to put on, prone to break and absolutely choke the life out of my penis to the point that it hardly enjoys any sensation at all when fucking. So I moved up to Trojan Magnums and they were OK, but the sensation was still a far cry from barebacking. Then i tried Magnum XLs and that was a notable improvement as my cock head received much better sensation.

I still have a box of Trojan Magnums in the bathroom (so old I should probably throw them out) so for the sake of this thread i did some measuring. They are about 54mm wide at the base but expand to 57 or 58 mm in the forward third of their length. The Magnum XLs are about the same at the base (55 mm) but expand to 62 mm in the forward third of their length. That pretty well tells why the XLs work best for me.

Normal Magnum Large have a slightly larger ring than a normal condom but not a huge different. Magnum XL's have the largest ring on the market so theoretically are the largest condom on the market. All condoms length wise are pretty much the same, latex stretches so it is always the ring girth which is 'sized' on a condom.

Magnum XL are not the largest on the market, since their base width is 2 inches, and for instance the MySize 69 are 69 mm wide, that is 2.7 inches. I know that the TheyFit sells a similar size as well.

This is for Europe, since apparently these condoms are not widely available on the other side of the ocean...

Magnum XL's are widely available from many online outlets and many UK based online companies as well, I can't speak for Europe. Theyfit are a custom made condom so naturally they can be supplied slightly larger to specification.
Magnum XL's are the largest 'off the shelf' condom around and speaking from experience, although I still find Magnum XL's too tight, there the only option I can still actually get on, all other brands just don't work for me.

I found them to be much more comfortable than regular sized condoms. So I continued buying those since they're the only brand I can buy from Walmart that are larger and cheaper.

they seem to be larger but i have had more breaking problems with the trojan brand then with durex and others. I have had a few tear or slip on me enough that i by the xls of other brands rather then the magnums

there seems to be a lot of chatter about the FDA too. The FDA only allow condoms with a "nominal width" of between 47mm and 57mm but in Europe (where we don't have the FDA but have things like BSI, Kite Mark and CE Mark) we get 41mm to 69mm.

41mm... man, that is a pencil dick! (asia students maybe) LOL
