I remember watching the full video a long time ago, but I forgot where and the title. This is indeed out of character because this was probably the only video in which he let his hole be rimmed let alone bottomed. Based on some info I read about him, I don't think he would ever bottom. He said in an interview that when he met his then boyfriend, he'd like to protect him, meaning he's the type of macho man, who does the stereotypically masculine things. Anw he'd have still been around by now had he decided to undergo the surgery...

Sharing my two cents on this matter.

First of all let's address the pink elephant in the room, there is human trafficking in Japan.

Some people (not referring to anyone in the post, just in general) behave as if Japan is some sort of mythical place, but Japan is a real country in the real world, with all the social problems that come with it.

The link above uses the example of a girl who was lured by modelling promises, but other recurring patterns are forcing people into prostitution or porn to pay for debts. These may be done both by loan sharks with connections to criminal organizations or by nightlife parlors themselves. I'm pretty sure we've talked about the host clubs with unpayable bill forcing female customers into prostitution somewhere on LPSG previously, but I wasn't able to track it down.

While owing money is a way these people are kept under such work conditions, the very fact that "once you are in there is no way out" is also a big part of the issue. Once one scene or gig has been done, criminals might force the person to keep doing them under threats that they may tell their families, bring their videos to public, etc etc.

The very law for protecting porn actors previously mentioned in this thread is a way for combating that, requiring that porn contracts must be made in advance, that models may give up at any time without financial penalties, etc.
Regulations against prostitution are usually a lot harder to implement, both due to it ambiguous legal situation in Japan and also to it usually being done less in the open than porn selling, which needs exposition to be a rentable business in the first place.

Focusing on porn specifically, it's important to understand that there is legal and illegal porn.
While companies like Coat or G@mes are fully-fledged companies with all the paper work that it includes, with official addresses, employees and tax declaration, there is what Japanese call 同人AV, which are, pretty much, "someone with a camera who recorded something and is selling it".
While in this post we overwhelmingly talk about legal porn (also due to the language barrier), I'm pretty sure most people who have consumed a decent amount of JGV have seen around the internet stuff like the "suit fantasy" series and other videos you see names and stuff but can't really find a company's website, where they are being sold and etc. There is a black market for spy videos at bath houses, illegal amateur porn tapes, and such and they are part of a bigger social problem.

Btw, it's a well known fact that Coat's executives have been arrested in the 90s due to allegations of offering porn gigs to minors at streets. Since it's already almost 30 years ago it's hard to find nicely written articles online, but old TV news about it are available at Niconico.

That being said, it's important to remember that a lot of time has passed since, and while the internet has enabled some crimes, it also allowed a lot of things to be tracked a lot more easily. If in the past gay porn was something sold physically on very discreet shops or hidden at a counter or back room at gay bars, nowadays they are available on websites made fully public, what of course includes authorities too, meaning that it is a lot harder for actual companies like Coat to do these illegal stunts these days because they will most likely get caught.

It's also important to highlight differences on criminal organizations behavior in big cities and in the countryside, in the 80s and now, etc. Summed up shortly, these incidents are more common in the countryside, where such organizations have more power over society as a whole.

Now that we've been through that whole wall of text I can go back to the model that originated this discussion.

Depending on how it was brought up, I could believe he was *originally* forced into porn by some criminal organization. Human trafficking in Japan is also known for traditionally targeting foreigners and raised-abroad young Japanese, which are a group he belongs.
That being said, I find it *very* hard to believe any of the several big studios he has recorded for forced him to do so through the mafia, due to the reasons above. They are too big to afford such practices.
I could understand if he says something like "now that I'm a well-known model there is no way I can go back to a normal life. People will recognize me whatever I try do, so in practice I have no other option than porn and prostitution", but that's a very different thing from saying "mafia is forcing me to do this".

Finally, as much as I hate saying that, this specific model has shown again and again over the years contradictory behavior, arguable declarations, little to no credibility and in general seems to have zero understanding of the profession or the industry he is in, so I find it very hard to give him credit.
I'm sorry, but he just seems to be not the brightest person in the room saying whatever shit comes to his mind.

Thank you for giving this information as I was unaware of this. I would never have guess this was happening at all and you have given us a good insight into the working so part of the industry in Japan.

Yabai is a slang that is widely used as an interjection, like "wow" or "fuck", depending on intonation and context it can be either a bad think like "fuck, it hurts! stop!" or a good thing, like "fuck, this is so good".

Different from "kimochi ii", which actually means "it feels good".

I usually translate yabai to "fuck" in my videos.
