fiction does not fall under liable. Just because you name an actual person doesn’t make it liable. Other things have to be taken into account. Also all the author has to do is put a disclaimer out there. Just like all the other millions and millions of fan fiction stories that use actual real people

You do realize that "libel" and "liable" are two ENTIRELY different things don't you ??
Now MAYBE you and some others would be comfortable making your entire defense in a libel suit being an "this is fictitious" "disclaimer" but I and PLENTY of others would not be willing to take that risk
Everyone has seen the "disclaimers" that they run on Law & Order, and they do NOT name any actual names

Sometimes one gets sucked into the undertow of stupidity by those who fear everything. I hope someone slaps me when I get caught up.
So who is this famous person I've never heard of? I'd google the name but I suspect he isn't a large hairy uber-male lumberjack type and I'd end up yawning myself into a coma after wasting my time on yet another "pretty boy".
