So, when it comes to male attractiveness (and I mean gay male, straight male, bi male), what are the traits the draw a guy to you? Is it body, Is it mind? Just curious.
For me I'd say it's pretty much a mix; physical attractiveness, grooming, hygiene, decency, their mind.
Looks give you more opportunity. Personality makes it less likely you will be alone with five cats in your old age.

Obviously, good looks/body is what will make somebody look at you. I've dated quite a few hot looking guys. But for me to want a second date, there better be something in their pretty head. 2 things that make me want to see a guy again are a great sense of humor or the ability to communicate.

The athletic V taper: shoulder-to-waist ratio is just an undeniable attractor to me. So are just the presence of muscular arms, chest, shoulders, traps and thighs etc.
But even with this strong impulse, I am also easily attracted to the 'dad bod' as well. I think I deal with gut weight the best. I like body hair far more than a shaved bare look.
Faces are super important. I find that I can usually tell from just a tiny thumbnail that the man's face is something I respond well too. I can't really think of what traits specifically. It's more just a yay/nay thing. It's a very fast judgement that's barely conscious.
In terms of personality - I highly prize self knowledge and self control - as I've found that lacking self perception and poor inhibitory skills predict the types of conflict that annoy me the most (bad actions with bad justifications).

I would say there has to be a good balance of things. Physical attraction usually gets my attention. But then there has to be good conversation and respect.
doesn't it also depend on what you're looking for at the time?
for a quickie/one nightery, then it has to be looks predominantly?
for something longer term then intelligence(of any kind not just academic), kindness, warmth and generosity of spirit, plus physical attraction has to be equally important? Personally prefer a guy into some sort of fitness just as I want to be able to get physical with him at some point(;-) )

A hot guy with a great body, sexy smile, whatever may first draw the attention, but a trash attitude will quickly cause that attention to fade and those looks don't last.
A guy with a great personality only grows hotter the more you get to know them.
