I have been thinking a lot about the Mankind Project (MKP) and possibly doing their weekend retreat. Does anyone here have experience with MKP or similar groups that they can share? Feel free to post here or message me directly!

Good question! I know two guys who went on the insistence of their then GF who had it in her head it would make them better people. (Same GF, two diff. relationships). I got the feeling that it was pretty secretive, what went down, but have been itching to find out! I gather it was pretty homoerotic.

I did the weekend. The focus is on understanding your own masculinity. I learned a lot about myself and gained many practical coping skills. Not so secretive as a process which is best experienced by giving yourself over to it. Totally safe, respectful, carefully managed and run.

I attended the weekend, and then remained in an I-group for about 8 years. It definitely had its value during that time in my life. I learned a lot, and remembered how to feel compassion toward others again.

I just looked into their intro page (as sketchy as the Canadian site is, no certs, bad photo loads, broken links) and the part that stuck out to me was;

"You’ll have the opportunity to look with fearless honesty at the life you’ve created, & make profound choices about what you want to keep, expand or let go of."

I live that everyday of my life minus the other humans and I supplement that with online interaction here and kink sites. (In person is really difficult to arrange)

What do you think the MKP could offer me? Some of y'all said you've been to an MKP retreat.

I’m happy to chat about it if you’re still looking for some feedback
