I still find it a little sad and perhaps hypocritical that on a site devoted to male sensuality and nudity, that words like slut are still thrown around so freely to describe people that we really don’t know that well. People aren't too sensitive at all, a lot of people (more specifically POC who try to date in the gay scene) often times face insurmountable rejection because of this practice of "preference" which in sometimes does amount to racial bias in most cases. When I dated in college using grindr (stay off grindr yall it fucking sucks) I am mixed presenting (green eyes lighter skin) but I am half puerto rican and black, not white. On grindr men would message me the usual sweet nothings and would do a "race check" as I call it. Where they would pry at what I am and the minute I would tell them that I am half black and not half white, they would ghost me.

So the attraction to me was there, the like was there, but because i wasn't white it was enough for them to run. After a while that hurts. So there is a fine line that is tread when you think of someone's blackness as not preferred as opposed to thinking of someone's blackness as automatically "ugly".

Going to California to be "creative". If you are able to take advantage of your parents' providing for you, more power to ya. His content, for me, has become quite boring and Ethan just looks like he does not take showers. Quite interesting, lol! But I wish them both luck. They definitely still have followers.

As someone with middle/ upper middle class parents, I can assure you he's not rich or being bankrolled.
It is pretty normal for people in the middle to upper middle classes to get some help with rent, get tuition paid for, get help with down payments on homes or cars etc. It is just that tho.
If Mark couldn't afford to live his life or if his parents thought he wouldn't be able to, they would not be supporting his career and would be nagging him non stop to get a traditional career.

I agree with the quip about his "creativity" tho. Lets be so fucking real... he's a fucking blogger who records himself walking his dog, interacting with strangers, and making food. Worse even, that's been his content for the last five years. There is ZERO CREATIVITY in that. Matter a fact, I can name exactly ONE video Mark has made since he started on YouTube that had an ounce of creativity. Obviously, he has some video editing skills but it doesn't surpass that of any other YouTube influencer who doesn't self-identify as a "filmmaker."

Mark is the equivalent of pyramid scheme MLM lady on facebook with entrepreneur in all of their bios. I need him to stop pretending like he's fucking Benicio Del Toro, and just own the fact that he's famous because the gay community was desperately lacking in masculine representation in 2013.

Don't even get me started on Ethan... With all of his holier than thou "artsy" only fans discourse. Tbh him, Kyle Krieger, and all the other has been YouTubers who are clearly not 100% confident with being sex workers, and have to add an illusionary element of "artistry" to help them feel better about themselves.

Mark and Ethan's relationship marked a generation of gays who grew up watching their videos, I was about 18 when I started watching them and yes they were a positive influence on me, they made me believe that I could have a nice and healthy relationship.
I think it all came crashing down when they moved to California, that place is too toxic, too liberal and too depraved for two small town young men to live and stay together, too much temptation!
