1) I am brazilian, just like him, and I can affirm that it's relatively easy for a brazilian to lose the portuguese accent when they strive to learn english, as brazilian portuguese doesn't have as much accent in words as portuguese from other countries.
2) Just like him, I am also demisexual and I understand him perfectly in terms of how he feels about seeking partners for sex.
