Yup! He made his choices to get into hard drugs and not wanting to work. Sad to see people you know go down that right. It is what it is.

addiction is not a choice its a disease.
It’s a disease you choose to catch. I’m sure he wasn’t forced to do drugs. I knew him personally and advised him not to do drugs or not to do porn. Guess what he chose to!
i experimented with mdma, adderall, lsd, weed, alcohol, and cigarettes because of peer pressure, but i have only used them a few times, and i am not addicted to any of them. fortunately, i do not have a predisposition to addiction, so my brain did not continue to crave these substances after i stopped using them. i do not have to exert willpower since i do not have the compulsion to use these substances.
ultimately, whether or not one becomes addicted to a substance they try is determined by genetics and is a matter of chance. it is worth noting that if my brain had been wired differently, i could have easily become addicted to these substances. addiction is a complex disease, and genetics plays a significant role in determining one's susceptibility to addiction.
Sure you didnt mention any of the drugs he is on. Did your genetic dispositin cause you to try crack or meth?

I think you should try being more empathetic to people’s situations instead of being so evil and condescending. You’re not better than anyone. Everyone knows the consequences of hard drugs and being unemployed, they don’t decide to participate in these things “just cause.” There’s material conditions affecting their choice, sometimes these situations in life only create one option. Both addiction, homelessness, and unemployment are things that are out of our control, especially if you’re poor and brown. Even if these were all conscious choices they made with a lack of foresight, being empathetic instead of letting someone suffer seems to be the right thing to do to you, I’d hope. Reflect as to why you’re so angry, malicious, and a bully at your big age and maybe you will be a little happier and spread more as well.
