MyVidster Permanently Down????

Myvidster has been unstable for the last few years to say the least, but this morning when I went on the site this message popped up:

"I recently decided to shut MyVidster down.
I have been running this site for over 18 years.
I have scarficed my life for MyV and I almost die last year doing so.
Due to the endless attacks, please communte with us on our X account to insure that we have received it. Thank you

Could this really be the end? 2025 can't get much worse...

Thisvid.com is the other one I use but it has that toxic 'friends' feature that limits your ability to see videos if the uploader locks them down. Its supposed to encourage sharing, but really just limits it.

This is truly fucked up. I used MyVidster often and found some incredible videos, along with following some great people. I can't believe it's gone, it will be greatly missed.

Fucking disaster, haven't found anything that can remotely take its place.

(I guess obvs not with all the issues) it’s no reason it should all be manned by one person there’s literally probably up millions of videos that have gotten millions of views now just gone they had no better way to manage? He like fired his team a long time ago and was doing everything by himself. I don’t know why though. I don’t know much about what it takes to run smaller websites but I don’t know why he did it for so long by himself.

Oh wow I didn’t know that. It explains a lot. The posts I’m seeing from him on the official pages are very odd and the language used is very unprofessional and almost manic it feels like he may be going thru an episode probably due to the stress of managing it all.

I’m so sad cause if he doesn’t torpedo the site on his own, if later he has more clarity and turns the reigns over to someone else who knows what’s gonna happen? So many sites are requiring ID uploads I loved myVidster because it didn’t and whoever comes next if anyone even does could be far more compliant with the anti porn movements happening making things difficult for us as viewers

But no that’s not why. The owner has had substance abuse issues for quite some time now and that unfortunately affected the website always having problems.
