Observed (Italian) average size

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share some thoughts on what I believe the avg size is here in Italy. This isn't based on scientific data, just my personal observations over the years.

I've played basketball since I was a kid, so I've spent a lot of time in locker rooms and have seen a fair number of teammates naked. Based on seeing over 50 guys, I feel like I have a decent sense of what's typical.

On a team of 15 people, there are usually about two guys who are noticeably larger (6+ inches soft, or 15+ cm). About 4-5 guys fall between 4.5 and 6 inches soft (11.5 to 15 cm). Some might not be as long but are quite thick.

From what I've observed, the avg soft size seems to be around 4.5 inches (11.5 cm), so I assume the avg hard length is around 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) if not more. While soft size doesn't always correlate with hard size, I think it offers some perspective.

Has anyone else noticed similar patterns or have thoughts on this? I'd love to hear about your observations

Also, I suspect your estimates of flaccid length are way off. Those six inchers are more likely 4", and the rest should be downsized accordingly.

From what I've seen here, most people are terrible at estimating flaccid length.

I live in Italy and I have observed the same trend in our generation (I'm around your age, just a few years older).
And since mine is slightly above the average being 17 cm erect, I usually consider big dicks those bigger than mine, and small the others, considering an average dick being 15-17 cm.
(This doesn't mean I just go with the bigger ones, it's just that I'm really into measures and comparison, I guess I wouldn't be on this forum otherwise lol)

But this doesn't reflect the average of the whole population of Italy, I think is more of a thing for those around our age.
There is, to be said, that I've noticed more big dicks than small ones in my life, but I just think that smaller ones may tend to hide more frequently (I used to hide mine when I thought it was small).

I've noticed a general trend towards bigger dicks but that may be because perhaps younger guys are less shy about "showing off" a the gym etc, so that it may be that we are just seeing bigger ones more often?

DNA puts me at 97% Italian with all four grandparents having emigrated from Italy and each family having been in their respective comuni for at least two hundred years. I'm not small but would not consider myself large.

Italy here (Bologna) seen many shower rooms and such, I agree with your statistics. average soft is about 12cm, the range goes from 5cm to 18 (rare). I saw few hard , but average is about 16, range from 8 cm to 22 (rare).

that’s true! most of the younger guys in them gym showers are very well endowed… i’ve read somewhere that that is due to the rising amount of hormones in our food and water

The hormone thing has been discussed for a decade or more in relation to girls beginning puberty earlier, and typically blamed specifically on hormones given to dairy cows.

I've never seen similar studies relating to boys, but I suppose it could be possible.

Nice dick you have there. Of course my experience is not scientific, just observational. With seeing family members and Italian friends it is just what I have seen. Growing up in a very Italian community (South Philadelphia) is also how I have seen more Italian penises from our acquaintances when we have gone to pool lockerrooms or changing with each other in other situations. Most were above average, but yes some weren't. Growing up nude I have seen my father's and his is below average, so it is an example of how Italians can also be smaller, too.
