I am super disappointed. Was looking forward to watching OF die a swift and justified death.
The question now is how many people will actually keep using the site knowing management is willing to shut them down at any moment and for any reason.
I could take it or leave it myself. Some guys were hot and had good content, but 90% of them only posted like once or twice a month where it wasn't really worth it to me. Also, I was amazed at how bad/lax the moderation is. I completely agree with the BBC article that came out a few days ago. I subbed to this guy who had a really creepy video captioned "only a few hours over 18 and this boy is taking my dick" (screenshot attached). I reported the video and it apparently led Onlyfans to delete 100+ videos of his because they were not verified. This was back in Feb/March 2021. It makes me think that Onlyfans would have never deleted the other videos had I not reported the sketchy video. He then posted this statement that he had to tag other creators or else the videos would be taken down. This is something I've seen too. Other OF guys tried to show the verification system and it says something like "don't forget to tag another OF creator" and I believe the videos don't get posted if you don't tag. The thing is, I don't really think they check. In the third screenshot, this guy tags a person that isn't even in the video and I can't believe that could possibly fool their system, but apparently it does. I don't know how it is for the ladies of Onlyfans, but at least on the gay side of things, it seems like they are poorly moderated. If one person can have 100+ non-verified videos posted that went unnoticed for almost 2 years, it makes me think there's actually still a lot of this content out there given the pay-wall nature of the site. Clearly, their verification is not as thorough as it seems. This is why I still prefer studio porn - the videos definitely have two performers over the age of 18. With Onlyfans, I know one of them is, but their co-stars don't seem to be monitored all that well. If simply tagging people that aren't in the video fools the system, who knows what other tricks exist.
