I've had some of the older ones (Jeff Stryker and Kris Lord). They were fun, I enjoyed them a lot. Part of thrill of them is you can actually put a face/body to the dildo. I don't have the original "Julian Private Parts" cause I just could not find it online anywhere but I one which basically is a "reprint" I compared the product picture and they the same dildo but the reprint is slightly smaller than the original. I guess there used a dildo to make theirs and didn't have the original mold.

It´s quite hard compared to the more modern dildos yet it still has some flexibility. Even it's smaller, and that just me speculating that it's smaller but I can't verify it cause I don't have the original dildo, and believe me really tried to find one, it feels super nice but not for beginners.

Yeah I kinda agree with you often the dildo is way bigger than the actor but I saw a clip of Johnny Sins compared his dick to the dildo and it looked quite similar both in size and shape. So I think fleshjack dildos at least are quite close the original
