So I'm assuming you are circumcised and are uncomfortable in locker rooms with your exposed glans? Nobody really thinks anything about that. The vast majority of American males, being circumcised, it's simply a non issue and no one considers an exposed glans an oddity. If anything an uncircumcised penis might be looked upon as different. But as far as I'm concerned a circumcised penis looks ordinary to me.

Who would have the balls to take a photo of the guy standing next to you. I would think that guy would be concerned of getting thumped on the head or a fist sandwich. I just can't believe someone taking a photo of the guy standing next to them.

As a circumcised Brit, I never felt like I was exposing anything more private than my uncut peers. Cock is cock, foreskin or not.
I see, well here in the US it isn't a big deal at all. It's very common. Be glad you are different from most everyone else. In fact show it off because I'll bet some guys secretly wish they were circumcised, but won't admit it. I know I was envious of the guys who were circumcised when I wasn't. Good question! That was from the WNBR in London in 2015 which I remember was overcast. There were a group of several friends who were having fun and often boned up! In fact, there were hardons everywhere you looked that year. I've seen them several times in London and Brighton over the years.

That is what I always have said. Almost all of my friends are uncut. I never saw a cut dick until I was in College. I had heard of dicks being cut. I knew what they looked like from pictures. I have seen uncut men in every locker room etc that I have used.
I rarely see other men naked in the locker rooms now, everyone has become quite shy over the last decade or so. When open/gang style showers were the norm everyone was fine showering together. Although being circumcised I am very much in the minority in the UK, I've never been shy about being seen.
If you really want your question answered and you are feeling brave, you could do a foreskin survey at Haulover beach in Miami, Florida, as public nudity is legal.
No a bare head is not the reason guys in the US are shy about being nude. This shyness only developed in recent years. I remember it wasn't long ago when can guys all showered in open showers and didn't wear underwear while showering or do the towel dance. Most of those guys were circumcised too.
I don't know what happened in those intervening years to the present that created that shyness. Something changed in America to cause that shyness. But several years ago before the YMCA became co-ed, guys used to swim nude at the YMCA. Go figure. But a bare glans had nothing to do with it, since the majority of American men were circumcised

All that free love lead to children who ended up as single parents. The single mothers were naturally protective of their children, and the sons rather lacked male influence.
This, coupled with the popularity of lawsuits, could lead to schools and public facilities covering their collective asses and end group showers, which led to what we have today.
Could this be a possibility to men being embarrassed to expose their bodies because they have not learned from a young age that the human body in all its shapes and forms and sizes is natural?
There does not seem to be much similar embarrassment among the European boys and men.
I am not sure about the flower power part, but single female parent and lack of male influence part and lack of early exposure to the fact that the human body and it's parts come in all shapes and sizes as a natural thing I completely agree with. The fact that society has become so lawsuit happy that everyone is afraid to do anything that might be thought to be out of the new norm ( same sex nudity in the expected places). This is so hard for those of us that came of age in the 60s and early 70s to get our heads around as same sex nudity was the norm for us.
