Recommendations about Rudas bath, Budapest

Hi everyone!
I'm about to travel to Budapest and I'm interested in taking a chance in one of us public saunas but having difficulty when finding info about the Rudas bath, has anyone been here these last months and could help me?
I know that there is a chance to wear swim suit or only aprons, in which areas? I want to try the apron but I don't know how my willy will respond lol, has anyone been in that situation before there? Also, is it common to wear the apron or most people don't wear it? Is it ok an Speedo? Lol
Also, I see that there are 2 types of tickets, daily tickets and daily Turkish bath, I'm interested in the octogonal bath, the rooftop bath and the saunas, but I don't know which one to choose. This would be my first time in a sauna naked so I wish could have as much information as possible.

Go to rudas bath and take the turkish ticket only (you don't need to pay more).

thanks a lot for your help, I read that it's not possible to take photos inside the building (I understand why) but I saw the octogonal pool is amazing, it can worth it.

Yes! Totally worth it. At first I thought I would get nervous of being almost naked and have a boner but I feel really confortable in there. Anyway, there were some cute guys with hot asses but I think it's better going at night because at first hour there were more local old guys I think. I enjoyed a lot the experience and architecture.

I regularly fly to Hungary for work but I plan go for the first time to Rudas Baths in June. I'll follow your idea and go there in the evening.

Is it wierd if I get a boner there?? I want to go there, but affraid that it would cause a problem.
I usually get an erection even if i just use the communal showers.. i dont know why, how can i over come it?

yes im going next week to budapest, i was planning to visit rudas but now their website says that:

"From August 1 to 25, 2024 all zones of the bath can be visited by men and women.
During that period only all in tickets are available"

im disappointed, but i still want to visit, do you know if their saunas are separated during this time?, i think ill try to go in the morning like at 6am the bath will probably be a bit less crowded, i want to see how the locals are bathing.

You need to wear swimsuits even in the sauna? I thought the rule only applied for the Turkish bath.
Can you recommend other baths in Budapest that are separated by gender?

You need to go to Rudas during empty season, ie not during the Sziget festival nor the National Day, to be able to enjoy the separated slots. July-September is always the peak of attendance there.

I went this week and was shocked by the amount of cruising going on. Men’s day in the Turkish, I went two days last week and saw discreet handjobs in the big pool, hard ons in the hot rooms, stroking in the showers.
