I wanted to start a thread on how to save onlyfans videos with DRM. I’ve tried some basic coding and I was able to download normal videos without using any third party browser or downloader, but I don’t have a solution to get past Widevine (the drm software).

BUT I was able to find a way to save DRM videos using MAC products (laptop or computer).

1) Follow this video to change the setting in chrome, very easy:

2) Follow this video about screen recording on MAC and changing the setting so it records with internal audio:

That’s all you need at this point to get past DRM

3) This is optional, but to get the best quality with no interruptions or anything on the screen: Play the video then pause it right away. The settings and Picture and picture symbols pop up. Click settings and change the quality to original so it’s HD. Then click picture and picture so the video is tiny and outside the browser, then you can click the top right corner and expand it as much as you can. When you are ready to screen record, click choose your section instead of record the entire screen, and crop it around the video. This way the video is recording and you can control onlyfans without anything popping up on the recording that blocks the view. From there just crop the video so it fits the screen and edit the recording so it starts and ends with the original video and it’s as good as if you downloaded it.

I hope this helps and reply if there is any other way to do it!

This for this, I was able to get my screen recorder working on my pc. Do you know how to disable drm on iPhones and iPads?

That’s cool to see it works on windows. And idk how to disable it on iPhone. I feel like the first video of disabling “Use Hardware Acceleration” is the key, but idk how to do it on iPhone there’s no option in Chrome or Safari to turn it off.

Onlyfans can now detect if you are using a download plug-in on Chrome. When you attempt to login, nothing happens if you are running a plug-in. Turn the plug-in off and you can then login, but the plug-in is not loaded thus prevent download of videos that have no DRM turned on. It’s got to the point where I’m cancelling all my subscriptions. They are mostly too expensive if you can’t download content.

They always play cat and mouse. Streamfab and YT Saver along with the extension Video DownloadHelper end up with one or the other working depending on if they've updated to get around DRM.

Video Downloadhelper I dont think actually handles DRM videos but sometimes its the only way I can easily get the proper URL of the source video to then paste into the other two apps to manually download. This is more for certain studio porn sites.

JFF right now I can only get working using YT Saver. I have to save the video/s to a playlist, when I play them from there I can grab the URL from it being detected by Video Downloadhelper and pasting into YT Saver. Also you need to change it to 1080p manually after starting the video to get the correct URL for HD

It appears JFF has stopped the ability to add vids to a playlist. I'm also unable to download playable vids when putting the link in YT Saver

Are you looking at the vid in the home 'timeline' screen, or directly within the creator's page? The former doesnt allow playlist for some reason but I can if I go into their direct page

Thanks! I was in the timeline screen. Going into the creator's page still gives you the playlist option.

So just adding some info here from what I could tell. JFF is using mpeg-dash to stream the encrypted videos to your browser of choice. The DRM they're using is called ClearKey via xvid over javascript - named as such because the key to the encryption is supposedly written in plain text. While this is annoying, it's better than say Widevine (Although I doubt they would have used WV anyway since it can get really price really fast.) This is why the downloads can fail because, even if you have tools that can grab encrypted streams like I do, the resulting file will be damaged unless decrypt the files. This is possible. I'm trying to find where the clearkey file is being stored in plain text in order to see if I can decrypt the videos.

However, as of now when you add vids to a playlist and then play them from the playlist, the resulting vid links are simply sent to your browser as a mp4 file which you can then grab with VideoDownloadHelper and then download. You can use YT Saver or StreamFab with these links or you can use a completely free option in yt-dlp. (Note: the base version of yt-dlp will not allow the download of encrypted files ;) ) With yt-dlp at least you should be able to throw all the links into a text file and then just have it download and rename all the files for you for a slightly easier archival process.

To add to this: If you use the Stream Sniper extension, go to Options and turn on the Show Direct Link setting, it will show the links as it catches them. So you can click on the videos in the playlist and change the quality to 1080p and it will capture the links automatically. Then you can click filter and type in 1080 in Stream Sniper. This will only show you the 1080p links and exclude the 540p links. At the bottom click on Copy Visible Links and then throw them into J Downloader all at once! Much easier than YT-dlp but you won’t have the fancy batch rename options, etc. Cheers!
