you must not read much.
Guys get fired for having their face in a photo shot at a white supremacist rally.
Folks get doxxed for parking in a handicapped spot.
Really- pull your head out and realize which direction the Internet is GOING.
It won't be a case of someone really digging into your past-
Some company you are interviewing at will simply type in your name, and Voila!- there's everything you ever said, and every photo you were ever in, as an abject demonstration that you don't comprehend the potential downstream consequences of your actions.
Or if you're working in a company where you have a rival for a promotion, or just someone whose advance you turned down, and they want to get back at you- they can arrange to have your private life suddenly become very public.
Its not about how Open minded YOU happen to be- its about just how petty and phobic OTHER people can be- in MOBS.
While you're in such a revealing mood- why not wear a T-Shirt with your bank account password and credit card numbers printed on it?
Why not? Are you paranoid or something?
Thank you for your posts.
Technology is a double-edged sword.
In some ways, I envy younger folks, who can have their whole life recorded on video or in pictures. When I was younger, I not only had to have a (film) camera in my possession, but also film, and money to develop it / print it. It wasn't common-place. But the more and more I look at social media today, maybe that's a good thing.
Showing your junk on a website may feel liberating, but there could be a price to pay.
Do you really want it to come down to who showed peen on the internet?
People have been "cancelled" for less...
I am not saying don't do it, but realize that the internet is forever.
For me, it's just not worth it.
